Coach Sporting Lisbon Paulo Sergio said that his team played "really well" in a 2:1 success over Lille in France in a match of the group of Levski Ligue Europe. Sergio denied reports that the Portuguese giants have two panels - one for the league and one for Europe League.
In the composition for the match against Lille, Sporting make whole 9 changes from the previous game against Olhanenze, according to coach that has had lack of confidence in his players, not because of the upcoming match with Benfica.
"Winning is like a thrown gauntlet to Sporting, played very well," said Sergio after the game. "Changes were made with the thought of the match with Benfica.
"Changes were made for this game to restore the confidence of my players. Does not guarantee that players who played today will not play on Sunday.
"I also disagree that there are two teams of Sporting - one for local tournaments and one for Europe League," said Sergio.
The next match of his team in the League against Levski Europe in Lisbon on 30 September.
