Ricciardo spoke about a potential return to Red Bull.
RB driver Daniel Ricciardo said that he still dreams of becoming a Formula 1 champion and is ready to return to the Red Bull cockpit.
I believe the end goal is the same - who wouldn`t want to become world champion?
I just think that, going through this stage. . . In 2022, at some stages I jumped out of the car and thought: Maybe I will never return to this track. Like, that`s it. Last time.
I`m very grateful to get a second chance. But the situation has not changed. As grateful as I am, I would still like to become world champion. I still want to win races and reach the top - that`s what we`re on this site for.
Am I ready to return to Red Bull? Yes, definitely. I don`t think the opportunity passed. Of course, I don`t know what will happen next. We need to show more often what happened in Miami.
But the main sign I got was last year when I jumped out of the car [after the Red Bull test at Silvertown]. I did this circuit after seven or eight months on the couch. That`s what I needed.
And I saw the team around me, I saw the smile on Christian [Horner`s] face. The big question just came up: What if? And I managed to do what we all thought I was still capable of.
Of course there are no guarantees, but I would really like to return one day. Let`s see. “I will continue to work for this, ” said Ricciardo before the Monaco Grand Prix.
