Memphis shooting guard Danny Green announced that he plans to make his season debut on February 1 against Portland.
In May, the veteran suffered a torn cruciate ligament in his left knee while playing for Philadelphia in the playoffs. Over the summer, the Sixers traded the player along with a first-round pick to the Grizzlies for De`Anthony Melton.
Green will earn $10 million this season, after which he will become an unrestricted free agent. The defenseman admitted that he wants to stay in Memphis.
Hopefully I can call this place home for the next few years. I`m lucky to be on a winning team, it`s a great situation for me, ” Green said.
